Harvest of Hope is a charity that gives support and encouragement to cancer patients and their families in the Seneca County area. It was founded in 2005 by the Vogel family (owners of Rock Run Bulk Foods) in response to the outpouring of love shown to their son, Dean Jr., when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2004. Through that experience and several other incidences of cancer striking family and friends, the Vogel family have learned that the love and support extended to cancer patients and their families is as healing as the medical treatments themselves. Harvest of Hope was launched as an annual benefit, with proceeds going to FACT (Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment) for Seneca County patients.
